Arts Virginia G. de Viveros, Mexican watercolor artist exhibited her original paintings with authentic Mexican themes. Music Voces y Guitarras Latinas performed at the Festival. They sang music from Puerto Rico and Mexico. The artists: Angel Malavet Sr., Rolando Martinez, Gaby Tellez, Humberto Armenta Sr. and Humberto Armenta. Lo Cornejo presented music from Chile and Cuba. Cuisine Sonora's Mexican Restaurant was present at the event with Tacos de Carne Asada, Tamales, Flan, etc. A wide variety of Latin food from Venezuela, Chile, Espana, and Colombia was also offered: arepas, empanadas, cachapas, churros, etc. Cultural Promotion and Awareness.- Prior to the main event, the association released a contest encouraging children of the Corning area to participate in a “Drawing Contest”, where they picture their vision on how they view Latin America. There was also a booth with turistic information for many of LA countries and some give-aways. There were posters about each country with cultural, economical and political information. Dance Ensamble Infantil Azteca Kids and youths from the Corning community put together "El Jarabe Tapatio", a typical mexican dance. Joaquin Canay presented two sessions of Tango and Milonga. There was also a representation of the Capoeira, a typical Brazilian fight-dance.
